Happy Mother's Day everyone.
This is my entry into the CCT challenge - this week their challenge is to make a celebration card. This is a pretty handbag card for a friend's birthday.

Hi everyone, this is a layout that I did of my son on the beach by the pier last year. His hair was quite long then. Obviously he was too cool too smile! I am particularly pleased with the green snakeskin effect. I used a mesh that covered satsumas as a mask and splodged green and yellow acrylic paint over it. Hope you like it.

I couldn't believe it earlier this week when I found out I had won a prize!! My layout of my english grandparent's wedding that I entered into the out of the hat challenge won the mad hatters challenge - it's the first prize I have ever won. I am so excited.
Hi everyone, this is the latest of my old family photo layouts. Hope you like it.

Thanks for looking - I'm off to make some Mother's day cards now.

Together we will flourish

This week has been so cold and dreary, so I had to cheer myself up with some pretty colours on this layout of my English grandparents.

The background paper came free with a magazine and I made myself use it! I have a problem using pretty paper - because when its gone its gone. I am a bit of a hoarder. I screwed up the paper and distressed it with Ranger's old paper ink.
I stitched around the edge with my sewing machine and hand stitched the curly bits by the flower. The flower was cut out using a cuttlebug doodle die. The other dies are from nestabilities and the leaves under the flower are Marianne design dies (this range is beautiful and a good price too).
I am entering this layout into four challenges:

Cuttlebug challenges - Stitch it #71

Out of the hat - the criteria for this one butterfly, buttons & bows and 4 word title.

Delightful sketches - no 16

Crafty Creations challenges #55 stitching

Thanks for looking

This my entry for the current cuttlebug challenge - Fabric. I was delighted when I saw the current challenge. This is my new camera case, I thought the ones you can buy are so ugly so I made my own. The flowers are cut using the doodle flower dies and one from a cuttlekids alphabet.
This layout is of my Dutch great-grandparents, looking very happy. The photo is not too good because the printer ran out of ink! (disaster!! :( ) It's too cold and wet to go into town to buy some more, so I just used this one. I can always get the ink tomorrow - hopefully the sun will be shining.

Thanks for looking

Hi everyone,

This is a layout of my Dutch Grandmother dressed up for the snow - she doesn't look all that happy about it, though.

Wedding Day

This layout is of my Dutch grandparents on their wedding day. I have decided to enter this in 3 challenges.
The first one is for Shabbychicbutterflysandbows - their criteria for the challenge is white and gold, lots of bling and to use music paper or christmas poem. I used the music (tucked under the photo, because of my grandfather's great passion for music).
The second challenge is from Craftysketches - I used the sketch for this layout.

The third is for delightful sketches their topic is love, so I thought this layout is quite appropriate.
This latest layout is of my English Grandmother. She looks so happy and summery. At the moment it is so cold outside so a summery layout is just what I needed.
