Archi-Scraps Challenge 8

I recently found a new Scrapbooking site
called Archi-Scraps.
Their current challenge is to use a photo of David Cerny's
Metalmorphosis
as inspiration

If you go to Archi-Scraps there is a link to the video of this amazing piece of public art.

The added criteria is to use a headshot for your photo and bling!

This photo is of my youngest daughter and her best friend at their school prom.
I used various sprays and inks on the background of a ripped pizza box.

Here is a close up of some of the bling.
For the semi-heart I inked and then clear embossed, over this I brushed some perfect pearls powder and then reheated it- it gives a lovely shimmery effect.

Thanks for visiting
Have a good Sunday!

Butterfly stamped card

Hello,

This is my second offering for today.

I inked and stamped some cheap photo paper - the stars and butterfly are free stamps from Craft Stamper magazine.
I painted the butterfly with perfect pearls and clear embossed over the top.

I have found a new challenge site called Tuesday Alchemy and they are having an anything goes challenge.  The stampman have changed their challenges to once a month and their challenge is Birds, Butterflies and Bees.
Top Tip Tuesday allow up to 3 entries for their challenge so I would like to enter this one in their Things with Wings challenge.

Thank you so much for visiting and I do love to read your comments!

Simon Says Stamp and show some Tickets

Hi everyone, hope you're having a great Sunday.

This is my entry into the simon Says Stamp and Show challenge - show some tickets

The wordin on the tag says enjoy the memoirs - unfortunately memoirs doesn't show too well on the photo. My ideas for this piece were to make a time machine tag - and the tickets would allow you to be taken back in time.

The clock is a squashed bottle cap in which I put a stamped clock face and filled this with crackle glaze. The wings are from a metal butterfly which I snapped in half and covered with alcohol inks.

Elegant lady

This is my entry for the sketch challenge on the Saturday Challenge blog, I have also combined it with another challenge on Simon Says Stamp and Show - Women only

The lady stamp is by Oxford Impressions.

I embossed with a purple cosmic shimmer on the sentiment and round the edges, unfortunately it doesn't show in the photo how beautiful it is.

Grungy Monday

This is my entry for the latest Grungy Monday challenge - Perfect Distress.

I stamped the pen nibs and then did the perfect distress technique on them!! of course, the best bits are covered up - One day the best bit will be in a good place to stay uncovered!

I think the man is the Duke of Wellington.

The quote reads the best things in life aren't things. I made this stamp with my new stampmaker I have just bought.

Press studs are stuck in the corners.

I love masking!!

Good evening, everyone

I love to stamp and using masks is one of my favourite techniques - you never really know what the end result will look like!!

First I stamps the loving couple then the Eiffel Tower and behind this is the Arch and some trees. I made a moon shaped mask and inked over the top of all the masks with weathered wood distress ink. A white gel pen was used for the stars.

I am entering this into the Stampman Challenge - Night Time

halloween panel using Tim Holtz products

Hope you're having a good Sunday!

This is a panel I have made to enter a couple of challenges

I don't really send Halloween cards so I just thought I would make this and see what I can do with it later - I'm sure it will come in useful for some scrapbooking project in the future!

The back part is embossed using a Tim embossing folder which I then put mahogany distress ink on the raised parts and clear heat embossed - it really enriches the colours.

The front panel I stamped with Walnut stain DI and then coloured with tea dye and peeled paint DIs.

The cat is black embossed and cut out from the same embossing folder as the back panel.

Hi,

I made this 'Gorjuss' stepper card and then found it fits with a few challenges running at the moment. But first I'll tell you what cuts I used to make it. The trees are made using the Straight From the Nest cartridge. I embossed them using folders in the cuttlebug.

The flowers were punched and coloured in with Promarkers/

The bunting and tablecloth are Molly Blooms stamps. I think the picnic basket is by Olyfant which might be made by Kars but I'm not sure.

I am entering this into the following:

Dutch Dare Card challenges - special fold card

Delightful challenges - make it dimensional

Sir Stampalot - food glorious food

thanks for visiting and for all your lovely comments!

Hello everyone,

I have managed to combine several challenges for this card. First I started with the sketch and to make the background with stamps (Our Vintage Affair). I used one of my favourite techniques by Tim Holtz for the Grungy Monday challenge 11.

The stampman challenge this week is to make something with butterflies and dragonflies, and Polkadoodles have a challenge - all of a flutter.
Finally a really easy one!! delightful sketches is anything goes.
All the stamps I used are by Tim Holtz.

Grungy Mondays - a new dimension

This week on Studio L3's challenge site the challenge is to follow one of Tim's techniques (you can see it here)
For this project I used some corrugated card for the dimension and painted the edges with gold acrylic paint. I then covered it with oriental style papers and then stamped and gold embossed the flowers.
The elephant was given to me by a student from Thailand, who stayed in my house while studying here. I have finally found a use for it!!!

Soul Srappers - Glee Club Challenge

I made the background paper in a 50s style by cutting an eraser into a wonky rectangle and stamping it onto white card. Then I cut a credit card and used the edges to stamp black lines. Next I stamped little flowers fairly randomly. The images are clipart that I googled.

My daughter wanted this jacket so much we took a photo of it in the shop and revisited many times just to look at it. When my daughter scored A* in her science exam, I bought it for her as a reward for doing so well!!!

This layout is being entered for a challenge on Soulscrappers.

Grungy Mondays - tete a tete

Linda's challenge on Studio L3 this week is to use distress ink with multi medium.

It is a resist technique which can be found here
This is my version

I stamped fleur de lys on the right hand side and used them as a resist.

The couple are another from my set of Oxford Impressions stamps

Hi everyone, Hope youre having a good Monday!

I made this card for my mum on Mother's Day so now I can show it to you.

The images are fantastic stamps from Oxford Impressions - they are so good they really look like photos.

I also made a matching box for it.

I made the background paper by swooshing it in some distress inks sprayed with water. Then embossed it in the cuttlebug.

I wrapped some lace around the top and bottom parts and attached some pearls for detail.

The Stampsmith are hosting a challenge where you can use any stamp - TSC11 The female of the species

your place in the sunshine

Here is another page for the Mini home album. Click on the pic on my sidebar to find out what its all about.
This time the featured room is the living room. We don't use this room very much - it's just for watching tv. Most of the time we use the dining room. I chose the animal print papers to go with the Egyptian themed decorations in the living room. thanks for looking
