Hello Everyone,

The continue the theme, this is the tag for her very nice bottle of wine (well I hope it was good!)

lovey dovey no.2

This card has one of my favourite stamps on - the loving couple are by Oxford Impressions stamps.

The back ground paper has also been stamped with words and a few 'Frenchy' stamps

I have found a new Vintage challenge site called Vintage Stamping Challenges and they are having an anything goes challenge.

Also It's All About the Vintage are having a nice challenge - Brown tones.

Have a lovely evening.

lovey dovey

Hi, this is the card I made for the Less is More Love and Marriage challenge.
The pigeon and dove are decoupaged and the sentiment says, 'you two are perfect'.
the insert is stencilled with roses along the bottom.
Dutch Dare Card Challenges have a clean and simple challenge this week too - I haven't entered one of their challenges for a while.

heart shaped easel card

I'm on a bit of a roll at the moment! I've made a couple of cards today and a tag!

This gorgeous romantic couple is a photo stamp by Oxford Impressions.
I used some vintage style pretty papers and cut out some flowers too.
The flowers are glittered.
I'm really pleased with the way this card turned out.
I am entering this card into the pink and glittery challenge on Crafts and Me challenge site as this is quite pink and glittery!

Thanks for visiting!!

Vintage Tattoo Wedding Card

I made this card for a friend's wedding - I think they are quite an unconventional couple and wanted to make a 'different' kind of card for them.

I made this using my fairycut software and then cut it out on the cricut.

The birds are coloured with distress inks.

Although this card is simple I am very pleased with the result :)

I am entering this card into the OVA - July card challenge. Although it isn't traditionally vintage , I think the tattoo style is quite retro from the 50's.

Our Vintage Affair July Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone,

This is a layout I have made of my daughter's wedding last September.

Our Vintage Affair July challenge is to use the sketch from their blog and to use at least one handmade flower - easy!! I love making flowers and for this layout I crocheted the flowers in the top right hand corner.

The bands going across the page are made from masking tape that I stamped using distress ink (it takes a while to dry)

I also found some whitewash colourcore card in a sale and embossed this in the cuttlebug and sanded it. I love the colours and the effect it gives.

Vintage Easter Tag

I made this vintage style tag to fit in with several challenges running at the moment. The challenge on Our Vintage Affair is to use the vintage image on the tag. I cut the leaves using my cuttlebug and the flowers are the 'unwanted' side of borders which I twisted into a kind of spiral and glued down.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Hi everyone, Hope youre having a good Monday!

I made this card for my mum on Mother's Day so now I can show it to you.

The images are fantastic stamps from Oxford Impressions - they are so good they really look like photos.

I also made a matching box for it.

I made the background paper by swooshing it in some distress inks sprayed with water. Then embossed it in the cuttlebug.

I wrapped some lace around the top and bottom parts and attached some pearls for detail.

The Stampsmith are hosting a challenge where you can use any stamp - TSC11 The female of the species

Romantic Heart Easel Card

good morning everyone,

The couple on the card is a stamp from Oxford Impressions (fantastic stamps)

In the background I stamped amour and postal mark also from the same stamp set.

I used old paper and worn lipstick distress inks for the stamping and also the flowers, which I glittered on the edges for a bit of bling!

I used my perfect pearls for the flourishes - green and antique gold.

I am entering this into a couple of challenges

The Stamp Man Challenge

Good morning to you all, hope it's a good one!!

This card is my entry for the Anything Tim challenge that is being held on the Stamp Man Challenge blog.

I have used 3 Tim stamps: the car, the sentiment and the swirls, which I embossed with vintage photo distress embossing powder. The car is covered with glaze and very shiny.

The Eiffel Tower stamp is from a travel stamp set and the building is one of my new stamps from Oxford Impressions (stunning stamps!!!!!!!)

Have a lovely day

So small

This is my latest entry for the Glee Club challenges on Soulscrappers.
I have used a lot of embellishments won from the February Artastic challenge.
I think they are from Tattered Inspirations - very pretty :)
The little pink flower is actually crocheted by me - don't look too closely; its not at all perfect!

my place in the Sunshine - lesson 2

Its time for lesson 2 at Scrapbeginnings - this month outside your home should be documented. I decided to use 2 photos of the street outside the front and back of our house. I started out using one of the sketches given but by the time I had finished it had changed quite a lot - it sort of evolved as I went!!
I cut the lamppost with my cricut and black heat embossed it. I got the cutting file for this from Mima's Stomping Ground - she has some great stuff there. I stamped the background paper with Tea Dye Distress Ink.

Another part of the challenge is to make a mini album - this is my first page showing the hallway. I took a photo of the noticeboard - very important in our house!- all the important news is stuck on there as well as postcards from students who have stayed in our house. It's good to hear from them when they are back home in their own countries.
Thanks for visiting my blog

vintage style Christmas card

I made this card using a delightful vintage picture. The background paper is sewn onto the card and the hearts have snow on them with a bit of glitter for a bit of glam. I don't think you can have a Christmas card without glitter.
I am entering this one into CES challenge blog - vintage Christmas

My first Christmas card of this year!

I have finally got round to making some Christmas cards! I know I'd better get my skates on!!
the background paper is made from lining paper, I scrunched it up and stamped and white embossed the snowflakes. This acted as a resist when I put on Tumbled Glass and Tea Dye Distress inks.
The beautiful angels are a free image on the Internet. I put a little bit of glitter on their necklaces. The flower was inked and stamped and then cut out.

Recycled art!!

This door hanger is made from recycled materials that I had lying around. The base is corrugated cardboard - I just stripped off some of the top layer and inked it.
The frame and die cut swirls are cereal box card.
The photo - a leftover from pyramage - the image is a free one from the Internet somewhere.
The flowers and butterflies from handmade paper remnants and pieces of scrap paper.
Some years ago I made a wedding dress for a friend and the pearl trim is leftover from that (I knew it would come in useful one day!).

I must say I am very pleased with this effort! I love shabby chic but feel I have never quite made it.

I am entering this into the Our Vintage Affair Challenge blog - their October challenge is to make a door hanger. Visit their site if you haven't already, its stunning.
Also Totally Gorjuss are having an unsquare challenge and Polka Doodles are having a make your own embellishments challenge
Craftalicious have an anything goes challenge.

I have also just found a great blog - Three Muses who are having a vintage challenge.

I would also like to say a big thank you to my followers - I now have 8, it feels really good :D.

family portrait

I'm on a bit of a roll with my scrapbooking at the moment and here is another layout. This photo is of my great grandparents and my Dutch grandmother. She looks very young, I think this photo may be about 1927 as she looks as if she could be 10ish.

I used a sketch from Sketch Saturday; this made it much easier and quicker to do than having to think one up myself.

I am entering this one in Sketch Saturday Challenge #88.

Thanks for looking.
