Hi,

I made this 'Gorjuss' stepper card and then found it fits with a few challenges running at the moment. But first I'll tell you what cuts I used to make it. The trees are made using the Straight From the Nest cartridge. I embossed them using folders in the cuttlebug.

The flowers were punched and coloured in with Promarkers/

The bunting and tablecloth are Molly Blooms stamps. I think the picnic basket is by Olyfant which might be made by Kars but I'm not sure.

I am entering this into the following:

Dutch Dare Card challenges - special fold card

Delightful challenges - make it dimensional

Sir Stampalot - food glorious food

thanks for visiting and for all your lovely comments!

Hi Everyone!,

Our Vintage Affair have a June sketch challenge going on with the subject of grandparents.

This LO is my take on the sketch, I titled it Oma (which is Dutch for Grandmother)

I used free papers from Simply Homemade magazine; I thought they matched the colours in my photograph beautifully (very 70's colours!! lol)

I am the girl in brown and my sister is the one in orange

Thanks for looking

Have a good evening

Guess What?

This is a layout I have done for the current Glee Club challenge on Soulscrappers.
A few years ago, my eldest two children were upstairs and very quiet for a while. When I went up to investigate, I found they had painted the bedroom and themselves. I put them in the bath to minimise the mess! The green paint stained their hair for a week! lol. I thought the little monkey embellishments were quite appropriate for this layout!
Thanks for visiting and leaving comments :) and thanks to my followers too!!
Have a good weekend

Christmas tag

I made this tag for the Studio L3 challenge CCC #24 - Rock Candy Distress Stickles technique. Look in Tim's book for exact instructions.
First I embossed with the music folder in the cuttlebug and then heat embossed with vanilla powder (oh!!! it smelled so good :D) then I covered it up with green distress ink (which I didn't let dry :( and promptly wiped it off when I applied the stickles stuff. But the green did stay around the embossing and I quite like this effect. (mistakes are good!!!)
The flower is cut using a Marianne Design die and the robin and branch using a storybook cricut cartridge.
I am also entering this in the delightful Challenges - embossing challenge

vintage style easel card

Hi everyone,
I made this card using spellbinders labels dies for the card base and backing paper.
The stamped image is by rubber stampede and the snowflakes were cut using Marianne Designs dies. I used corrugated card for the die cutting and it came out with an interesting texture - I'm very pleased with that!
At the moment I have an obsession with the wavy sentiment labels - I saw a similar effect on some of the Scandinavian blogs.

I'm entering this into the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge - show a holiday greeting , Dutch Dare - Christmas challenge , Secret Crafter challenge #112 Christmas

Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Extreme Masking - Challenge #19

Happy Wednesday to you all!
Studio L3 have another exciting challenge from the Compendium of Curiosities challenge; this time extreme masking. I won't tell you what this is exactly cos its in Tim Holtz's book!
I bought the book and I think it has changed my style of crafting! (for the better I hope! :)). The book is so full of wonderful ideas.
I used Distress inks to colour the background - barn door, peeled paint and walnut stain on a yellow tag.
For the extreme masking I cuttlebugged a 'ornament' shape and used this as a mask. Inside the shape I stamped wording from a Tim Holtz stamp. The stamp stamp is a See D's one.
The lady is from a free image on the Internet somewhere - I think it may have been Art-e-zine.

Easel Card

Hi everyone, I made my daughter an easel card for her birthday. I love making them as they are so easy and very effective.
I wanted to remind myself about summer ........ or the summer we might have had!? The icecream colours are lovely.
I stamped the girl and paper pieced the pieces.
The apple I embossed with red glitter.
The technique for cutting the shaped card is from a past issue of craftstamper magazine using spellbinders dies - very easy
I am entering this card into an easel card challenge on the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge site
and also Stamp Something - something to celebrate
and stamp, scrap and doodle - anything goes
Thanks for looking and all the nice comments you send me.

card for two challenges

This card has been made using a sketch from Get Sketchy. This is for the GS#18 challenge. The second challenge is for Cute Card Thursday,
Their theme is Sew Beady. I think the digi image is from Wendy's Digistamps.

I made this card for a friend at work. When I had finished I couldn't wait to give it to her - she loved it. I made the flowers with the help of a tutorial on Julies Inkspot. I have left a link to her blog earlier.

This is a card I made for a friend who has a Welsh friend. The message inside is in Welsh and English. A very simple but sweet card. I was glad to hear that the recipient was very pleased with it!
