Shaped Card challenge

Hi everyone,

I made a shaped card using the cricut and the storybook cartridge - it is definitely my most used one!!
The stamp is Gorjuss - hang me up to dry

The best thing about being a woman?

Once upon a Sketch challenge this month is to journal about what is the best thing about being a woman! lots of things! at the same time!! lol.

After all we are multi-taskers aren't we?

I recently went to The Range and bought this great Kraft cardstock - really cheap too! compared to some other shops.
I used my cricut to cut the border (Storybook) and my cuttlebug for the lettering.
The black and white pictures are from a site 'digital two for Tuesday'

I love cake

This is a layout about one of my favourite foods!!! I absolutely love cake and think life wouldn't be worth living without CCCCCCCAAAAAKKKKKEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and of course you need coffee to go with it.

When I go to Holland to visit my daughter, our cake eating itinerary is already planned :)

The font for the title is from the Storybook Cricut cartridge. The stamps I used are by Molly Blooms which came free on Simply Homemade magazine.

The journalling circle, bracket and pink pearl are part of my winnings from Scrapbeginnings - Thanks Jane!!!

So small

This is my latest entry for the Glee Club challenges on Soulscrappers.
I have used a lot of embellishments won from the February Artastic challenge.
I think they are from Tattered Inspirations - very pretty :)
The little pink flower is actually crocheted by me - don't look too closely; its not at all perfect!

Once upon a Time

Hi everyone,

I made this layout for Ingeborg's Scrapbooking Competitions using a sketch from her blog.

For the backgrounds I stamped with embossing ink and brushed Perfect Pearls in bronze and green over the ink. It looks very shimmery but doesn't show up so well on the photo.

The title and 'half flowers' were cut out and gold embossed.

CCofC challenge #29

This week the challenge is to make something using the weathered wood grunge technique.

A few days ago I bought the wood effect embossing folder and just had to use it. The method for the technique is in Tim Holtz's Compendium of Curiosities book.

I cut the swirly heart and 'rusted' it with Vintage Photo Distress embossing powder. The bird is inked with rusty hinge and tumbled glass distress ink. For a bit of glam, I painted the blue bits with Turquoise perfect pearls powder.

The bead is attached with gold wire and is curled underneath.

I'm entering this into CCC challenge #29 and delightful challenges - have a heart

Christmas tag

I made this tag for the Studio L3 challenge CCC #24 - Rock Candy Distress Stickles technique. Look in Tim's book for exact instructions.
First I embossed with the music folder in the cuttlebug and then heat embossed with vanilla powder (oh!!! it smelled so good :D) then I covered it up with green distress ink (which I didn't let dry :( and promptly wiped it off when I applied the stickles stuff. But the green did stay around the embossing and I quite like this effect. (mistakes are good!!!)
The flower is cut using a Marianne Design die and the robin and branch using a storybook cricut cartridge.
I am also entering this in the delightful Challenges - embossing challenge

circular Christmas card

This is a circular easel card. I really love easel cards at the moment...

I cut the circles using the George cartridge on the cricut and embossed them in the cuttlebug.

The snowmen are made using a cuttlebug die - I think they are very cute. The little robin was cut using the cricut; cartridge Storybook.
