family portrait

I'm on a bit of a roll with my scrapbooking at the moment and here is another layout. This photo is of my great grandparents and my Dutch grandmother. She looks very young, I think this photo may be about 1927 as she looks as if she could be 10ish.

I used a sketch from Sketch Saturday; this made it much easier and quicker to do than having to think one up myself.

I am entering this one in Sketch Saturday Challenge #88.

Thanks for looking.

Elegant Lady

This layout is of my Dutch grandmother, she looks so elegant. I saw the papers I used a long time ago but didn't know what to use them on, so when my mum sent me this photo I knew I had to rush to the craft shop and buy them. I am entering this layout in a Let's Get Shabby Challenge (no 8)where a letter needs to be included in the LO. The letter is peeking out from under the photo. Thanks for looking. Jolanda x

My Granny

This is a photo of my English grandmother, she looks very happy there posing above the water! The flowers and dragonflies etc., are all stamped and stuck on. I painted the dragonflies with a glossy glaze to make them 'pop'. I can't do a page without shine anymore, I think I'm becoming a bit addicted to glitter and shiny things!

I am entering this into two challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - Blooming Gorgeous

Dutch Dare - Summer in Winter. #70

Thanks for looking and for the nice comments you leave; they are really appreciated.

Rainy day card

I'm on a bit of a roll today; two postings in one day! I made this card following a sketch from the Dutch Dare challenge site and I thought I would also enter it into A Spoonful of Sugar challenge (layering - well I have a little bit of layering)

The rain I made with 3D gloss by Anita's, I like the effect it has and also gives a bit of shine to the card.

Thanks for looking.

one card - two challenges

This is my entry for Sketch Saturday challenge #87 and also for Cute Card Thursday (fairy fantastic challenge 96).
I hope you like it.

Here is my entry for this week's Sketch Saturday Challenge #85. Behind the girl are Nellie Snellen frames which I cut out on the cuttlebug. On the top and bottom are envelope insides with which I used a lace punch. The girl is a stamp from Personal Impressions.
