Distressed Tag - the key

Hi everyone, I have just bought a new book - A compendium of Curiosities by Tim Holtz. It has so many good ideas and has inspired me to make this tag.
I made the keyhole and key from cereal box card and inked and embossed it to look a bit like metal and enamel. The heart is embossed with dark red embossing powder and outline in gold gel pen. The stamps I used are by Tim Holtz. Oh, and also the brads were gold so I just embossed them with copper powder, I think it looks quite effective. the images are free ones from the Internet.

I am entering this into several challenges:

The Stampman - Distress
SirStampalot challenge blog

lots to do challenges - distressed tags
Our vintage affair - vintage tags
Bye for now x

  1. great tag!!! I really like it. I found it over at Lots to Do Challenge....I have a question for you...how on earth did you get your link to take ...as the button after you type in your name, etc. does not work. And you posted AFTER I tried to post. If you would be so kind...as no one from the challenge has answered any of my emails or post.....thanks for your time:)
